Bestway Trucking changed ownership in 1999 and the Summitt family took a brief hiatus from the business. But now, they are back, under the name Summitt Trucking, with that same customer dedication, high quality service you grew to expect, with a renewed commitment to providing service and quality second to none. We have a refrigerated division providing dedicated service to our customers requiring cooler temperatures to keep products fresh, frozen services for those customers who require below freezing temperatures or heated trailers to prevent products from freezing. With this service we have the ability to monitor and track fuel levels, and temperature remotely to protect the quality of the load. Our brokerage service handles the last minute “must ship today” needs, ensuring our customer that we take every opportunity available to us to meet your needs. Last, but certainly not least, we can custom tailor our services around your needs. Serving our customers is what we are all about. The name
Summitt Trucking might be relatively new to the trucking industry, but the
company is certainly not new to the business. William Summitt founded
Bestway Trucking in 1983 with just one truck, three trailers and a
determination to build the best company in the business. David Summitt
took over the business after his father’s death in 1985 with that same set
of goals and determination. One by one customers began to realize his
commitment to trucking and they grew into one of the most successful and
widely respected trucking companies in the nation.
