In 1997, Janet and Charles Prior wanted to find a way to provide focused services that would fulfill customer's unique supply chain requirements. The first client was a large telecommunications company that required a just in time delivery established for their smaller suppliers. This network of delivery special labeling, EDI, and delivery service was established within one week. From this first customer, Accurate has not stopped growing or exceeding clients requirements.
Facilities and Equipment
Accurate Logistics operates in multiple buildings in the Columbus market. This space usage fluctuates throughout the year based on client's requirements. Our buildings are wet sprinkle red, with 24 hour monitored security. A surveillance system is operational in each facility and security is of up most importance.
Services to clients are not limited. We will evaluate the possibility of handling the most unique and unusual projects for most customers. We were able to inflate and package 2,000,000 basketballs for a major discount retailer in 3 months. Our packaging equipment includes heat shrink tunnels, automatic and semi-automatic L-bars, vacuum sealer, impulse sealers, and various internally built packaging equipment.
Computer Systems
Accurate Logistics uses a warehouse management system called Accuplus. This system is a fully integrated on line inventory tracking and activity based computer system. We use a module of Accuplus called Logiview. This module allows our clients to gain visibility over their inventory from the Internet. You can see your inventory at any time of the day. Orders can also be placed directly into the system to avoid delays in alternative order translation channels.
The management and staff at Accurate Logistics have over 80 years of warehousing and distribution experience. All members of this staff came from other third party warehouse organizations to be a part of the Accurate Logistics team. There is a great deal of empowerment granted to the teams to solve client issues quickly and correctly. This allows for timely turn around on product and availability to grow the business.
