Formed in 1993 as a division of Hansen Storage Company, Warehouse Transport Services (WTS) acts as a conduit between storage company customers and warehouses. Dependable and on-time service help "just-in-time" needs to become a reality. WTS employs more than 25 drivers operating 25 tractors, 20 refrigerated trailers and 50 dry van semi trailers serving a 300-mile radius around Milwaukee.
Warehouse
Transport Services operates out of two of Hansen Storage Company’s
warehouse locations. One is on the northwest side of Milwaukee, which
houses various temperature controlled warehousing sections providing
warehousing for the grocery industry in Wisconsin and northern Illinois.
WTS does daily deliveries six days per week directly to the grocery store
locations and also does line haul transportation from national name brands
into the various grocery distribution centers in Wisconsin. In addition,
this facility acts as a cross dock and warehouse for the paper industry in
Wisconsin in housing roll and flat stock paper. This paper is delivered
through WTS to various printers in southeastern Wisconsin and northern
Illinois.
The second location for WTS is located on the southeast side of Milwaukee, near the international airport. Retail distribution is performed at this facility providing retail and home delivery to points in Minnesota, Wisconsin and Illinois. This facility is also a bonded facility which houses bonded freight and General Order Customs bonded freight.
The combination of warehouse customers from Hansen Storage Company and cross dock and pool distribution customers has enabled WTS to grow on a steady pace since it was formed in 1993.
