The family run business was originally started in 1930’s by Jonathon and Darryl’s grandparents Joe and Bella Gershman. The early operation began by wholesaling and jobbing agricultural goods. In 1963 the company was incorporated in Winnipeg, Manitoba to distribute produce as Gershman Produce Co Ltd. The wholesale business evolved with the acquisition of a small fleet of trucks and soon led the company into the long distance transportation industry.

During the early 1970’s the company began hauling mostly agricultural commodities throughout Canada and Northern United States. In the eighties, Jon and Darryl joined their father in the family trucking company. In October of 1999 Gershman Transport Ltd. closed the doors leaving behind 150 modern and up to date tractors fully equipped with the latest in technology, and 300 trailers comprised of dry vans, refrigerated and specialty trailers.

G2 Logistics Inc was started in Jan 2000 by Jonathon and Darryl Gershman. They have combined their 35 years of operational experience into a diversified transportation company with 4 divisions and a brand new distribution center. G2 Logistics has experienced tremendous growth over the last few years and we have successfully managed to maintain our integrity and honesty while at the same time building a financially stable infrastructure.

Jonathon and Darryl started G2 Logistics because of their belief that customers’ needs were not being met. Trucking companies are not always able to be at the right place at the right time and many companies are being more selective of the areas they run. There has also been a tremendous decrease in capacity available to customers. Therefore, as the customers needs for service increases, the service being provided by the trucking companies is decreasing. At G2 Logistics we feel that we are successfully filling that void.

G2 Logistics Inc is a full service 3rd party freight broker and logistics provider located in Winnipeg, Manitoba Canada. Our central location allows us to redefine the boundaries of today’s transport industry, as we are perfectly positioned for distribution of any your freight through our network of carrier partners. We provide service for all modes of transportation: road, rail, ocean and air. Our many other value added services include short and long term warehousing, cross-docking, and Canadian distribution. Our knowledge in cross border shipments is current with new guidelines and regulations pertaining to border security and clearance procedures to ensure smooth flow of goods.

Our Goal is to build relationships with our customers in order to help them cut costs and gain service flexibility for all of their transportation needs, be it for 1 pallet of LTL or multiple daily full truckloads.
