LTL-Primarily an Illinois LTL carrier, Double D Express provides next day service to all points in Illinois, Iowa and Wisconsin including the commercial zones of St. Louis, MO and Evansville, IN.
With loyalty and trust being an important factor between Double D Express and our customers, Double D Express pro-actively responded to the request of our customers and expanded our transportation services to include both a truckload and an expedite division.
Truckload - Our truckload fleet blankets 27 states. Several dedicated runs are established to allow our customers to handle their transportation needs worry free.
Expedite those shipments needing door-to-door delivery. Double D’s Expedite fleet ranges from cargo vans to sleeper units complete with 53' trailers. Regardless of the size of your shipment, priority is the focus of our Expedite team.
Computer System - To better serve our customers, Double D Express & Double D Warehouse offer our customers on-line tracing, quoting and pick-up abilities. Our imaging system also allows us to provide fast and accurate copies of Bill of Ladings & Delivery Receipts.
Satellite Tracking - All units in Double D’s Truckload division are equipped with state of the art tracking equipment. LTL units are also connected with the corporate office through the use of wireless communications. This allows prompt, flexible pick up service.
Sales - The Double D Sales Team strategically blankets the entire state of Illinois and bordering cities. Warehouse - Currently in phase II of a four-phase expansion project, which is expected to provide over 700,000 square feet of public warehouse and tenant leased space, Double D is providing a new industrial park in Peru, Illinois. Double D Warehouse offers each customer private Internet access to view product movement and inventory status. Our facility is equipped with bar coding and RF (Radio frequency) scanners to provide up-to-the second real time product inventory management. Pick-and-Pack, Light Assembly, Basic Monthly Storage...these are just a handful of the opportunity Double D Warehouse has to offer. Double D Warehouse is linked directly to Double Express. This allows us to offer a complete package, which includes transportation services.
